To create an order, simply follow these steps:
Step 1
Click "Orders" at the top of the page. Click "Add New Order".
Step 2
Either type the patients SSN, or select them from the drop down list. Click Next.
Step 3
This page lets you verify the patient demographics. Be sure that this information is correct. You will notice the insurance and notes section at the top as well. If this is correct, click next. Getting to this page means that an Order ID has been assigned, and this order is now considered a "Draft."
Step 4
This step allows you to select the tests that have been requested. If you have a custom code, please enter it in the "Order Test" field below the selection table.
Step 5
This is where you may select the ordering physician, input diagnosis codes, and set the test dates. You will also choose the phlebotomist who will be fulfilling this order. Once you click Next, the order will be considered Pending and show up in the assigned phlebotomists schedule.
